Absent Barcelona star sends message to teammates during Valencia clash

An absent member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has taken to social media, to send a message of support to the rest of the club’s squad.

This, of course, comes with Barca currently locked in action.

In the opening fixture of the club’s La Liga campaign, Hansi Flick’s troops have made the trip to Mestalla, for a meeting with Valencia.

Things, thus far, have not exactly gone to plan for the Blaugrana, with hosts Valencia boasting the advantage when it comes to the scoreline, owing to a solitary goal on the part of Hugo Duro.

As much comes with Barcelona missing a number of key players, from Gavi to Pedri and summer signing Dani Olmo.

It is another, though, who a short time ago took to social media, to send a message of encouragement to his teammates.

Amid an extended vacation following his exploits with Spain at both Euro 2024 and the Olympics, Fermín López confirmed that he has tuned in to watch the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad, posting on Instagram with the caption of ‘Let’s go team!’
