76ers forward Wilson Chandler to miss 2-3 weeks with strained quad
Philadelphia 76ers forward Wilson Chandler will be sidelined at least through the All-Star break after he suffered a right quad strain against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, the 76ers announced on Saturday.
Chandler suffered the injury early in the third quarter of their 113-104 win against the Warriors in Oakland after he set an off-ball screen for JJ Redick.

Chandler left the game soon after the screen with eight points, three assists and two rebounds. An MRI on Friday confirmed the strained right quad. He will be reevaluated in approximately two weeks, per the release.
Chandler, who is in his first season in Philadelphia after spending the previous six with the Denver Nuggets, is averaging a career-low 6.7 points and 4.7 rebounds so far this year. He has improved lately, however, averaging 8.1 points in his last seven games.
He has already missed 16 games this season. Chandler sat out the first nine games with a left hamstring strain, and then three more with related injuries. He also sat out one game for rest, and missed two games due to an upper respiratory infection.
The 76ers, who currently sit in third place in the Eastern Conference with a 34-18 record, have six games left before the All-Star break — including key matchups against the Toronto Raptors, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics.
According to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Mike Muscala will start in Chandler’s place on Saturday night in their game against the Sacramento Kings. Jonah Bolden had previously started in Chandler’s place when he was sidelined earlier this season.
