33 Goalies Named To 2025 National Women’s Goalie of the Year Watch List

The Women’s Hockey Commissioners Association has named 33 goalies to their 2025 National Women’s Goalie of the Year “Watch List.” Since the award's inception in 2021, three goaltenders have earned the honor including Aerin Frankel (2022) and Gwyneth Philips (2023) who are both currently in the PWHL, and last year's Goaltender of the Year, Michelle Pasiechnyk of Clarkson who left hockey.

The 2025 list includes netminders from all five NCAA conferences, and from seven nations including Canada, USA, Finland, Sweden, Austria, Denmark, and Slovenia.

To earn a place on the 2025 Watch List, a goaltender must have recorded a save percentage of .920 or higher, or a GAA of 2.10 or less. The list will soon be pared down by coaches, media, and administrators with the winner being announced during the NCAA Frozen Four in March.
