Plenty can be said about Italian players and their performance throughout history. It’s a mixed batch, but what stands as a proud example of excellent practice so far, are their coaches. For whatever reason, Italian football managers do wonders in the English league, and Italy can boast about having the most Premier League-winning managers in the world. No other nation can compete, and Italy gives them the boot. The competition is fierce on who’s the best, but we can all agree they are successful.

The first example would be Enzo Maresca, as he felt the waters of English football long back in 1998 when he played for West Bromwich Albion. After his successful career throughout Europe, from Juventus to Seville, he earned his manager’s boots by leading Manchester City towards the Premier League 2 title in 2021!

After an eventful time in Leicester City, he has now found his home in Chelsea, and for the next five years from now, that will be his home. Enzo’s vast experience and rich history will surely make Chelsea rise and perform better. Fans and opponents have taken notice, but they are not alone. Enzos transfer could shake up the leaderboard, and fans can place their bets on any place from the list of UK bookmakers, as Peter Addison, iGaming analyst, suggests in his article. Currently in fourth place and seven points behind the leader Liverpool, Maresca’s Chelsea is still not out of the battle for this year’s title.

Italian managers are a good sign that an English team is on the road to success, and the list continues with Roberto Mancini, who needs little introduction. Mancini’s success with Manchester City is in the history books, and few could believe he would end up where he is from his humble start in Bologna. Even then, he was bought by Sampdoria, for £2.2 million, an impressive sum back in the day, and the culmination of his success could be seen in his long career with Manchester City from 2009 to 2013. He is far from done, and Roberto Mancini could probably replace Howe at Newcastle if the rumor proves true.

Mancini’s defensive play was heavily criticized by the prying British media, but the results speak for themselves. His defense first put Manchester on the top, and with 2.05 points per game, it seems he was doing something right. His recipe was not repeated till today, but we’ll see what new tricks he has to offer.

And finally, we have Antonio Conte, known for his never-ending optimism and fiery passion with which he leads any team. While currently in Napoli, Antonio Conte defends his team even if they lose, claiming superiority!

This strong stance and optimism are his guiding grace. That passion pours over and, again in England, his talents were welcomed, where he scored an incredible 13 wins during his 13 Premier League games. To top it off and show his leading talent, he also won three Premier League Manager of the Month awards. In a row! And while his history is not spotless, where his time with Tottenham was eventful, and a mouthful, to say the least, he is still a manifestation of what a passion-driven football manager looks like!

These and many more are perfect representatives of Italy’s football culture and will set the stage for future talents. What will they be? We’ll all eagerly have to wait, see, and cheer!
