Marseille have turned their attention to Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah after reaching an agreement with Manchester United for Mason Greenwood.

The French outfit recently confirmed Roberto De Zerbi as their new manager and they are currently focused on pursuing players from the Premier League.

They have already sealed the deal for Greenwood from the Red Devils and Foot Mercato claim they are in talks with Nketiah over a potential switch.

The 25-year-old is reportedly interested in a new challenge in Ligue 1, and Marseille are hoping to reach an agreement with the Gunners for his transfer.

Nketiah looks likely to leave Arsenal this summer

The Gunners graduate started last season very brightly. He scored five goals in ten league games including a superb hat-trick against Sheffield United.

However, he managed to score just one more in the Champions League. Nketiah was a regular substitute in 2024 and did not feature in nine of the final 12 league games.

The club are currently in the transfer market for a marquee striker. With a huge outlay required to sign one, the hierarchy could open the door for Nketiah’s summer exit.

Marseille recently agreed a £27 million package including add-ons for Greenwood. As part of the deal, United have retained a huge sell-on clause of 40-50 percent.

The Gunners could be prepared to accept a similar proposal for Nketiah if he wants to join Marseille instead of another Premier League club, such as Fulham.
