All 24 UFC on Fuel TV 2 Fighters Drug Tested

The Ultimate Fighting Championship ship took its show to Sweden for the first this month. All 24 fighters on the UFC on Fuel TV 2: Gustafsson vs. Silva fight card were drug tested by the Swedish MMA Federation, the regulating body for the event.

All 24 fighters returned negative results for both performance enhancing drugs and recreational drugs, according to UFC vice president of government and regulatory affairs told MMAWeekly.com on Thursday.

Alexander Gustafsson dominated his main event bout with Thiago Silva, but had to go the distance to earn a unanimous decision victory for the first time in his career. Gustafsson’s record now stands at 14-1, having won five consecutive fights since his lone loss to Phil Davis.

The victory has Gustafsson earning praise from UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who believes the Swedish fighter is closing in on a title shot.

“I’d like to see him against another wrestler and I would like to see him against a worthy striker. Then I think a title shot would be very appropriate,” stated Jones last week.

“He has some swagger. He exudes winning from the second he steps in the cage. I think the kid has the potential to be a star.”
