Arsenal playmaker Emile Smith Rowe is keen to stay at the club next season amid interest from Crystal Palace, according to The Sun.

The Gunners graduate has struggled for playing time over the past two seasons. He has played under 700 minutes during this period.

This has led to speculation that he could be sold and The Sun reveal that the club have set an asking price of £25 million for the summer.

Palace are among the admirers of the England international and they could make an approach once Michael Olise joins Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Smith Rowe is quite keen to stay at Arsenal despite his limited minutes under manager Mikel Arteta over the last two years.

Smith Rowe staying at Arsenal won’t be a surprise

The 23-year-old was once regarded as the one of the best graduates from the academy.

Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka made a big mark at the beginning of Arteta’s tenure, but the former was displaced from the starting line-up after the emergence of Gabriel Martinelli on the left wing.

Arsenal have since added more quality with Leandro Trossard on the left flank. Elsewhere, captain Martin Odegaard has been an undisputed starter from the number 10 position which Smith Rowe prefers.

It was suggested last season that Smith Rowe could compete for the number eight role, but it has not worked out for him following the big-money arrivals of Kai Havertz and Declan Rice.

Smith Rowe is currently a fringe player in the squad, but we won’t be surprised if he opts to stay. The Englishman may feel he has a point to prove during the course of the 2024/25 campaign.

With his contract only expiring in June 2026, Arsenal could be open to keeping him too.
