The Weekly Rewind: Vancouver Canucks Recaps From December 16 to 22

Tom Willander- Team Sweden

Willander makes his second appearance at the World Juniors after helping Sweden capture a Silver Medal in 2024. Vancouver's first-round pick from 2023 is expected to play a significant role for Sweden, both at even strength and on the power play. Willander should be a 20+ minute-a-night player throughout the tournament as he hopes to help Sweden capture Gold for the first time since 2012.

Sawyer Mynio-Team Canada

The 2025 World Juniors will be Mynio's first opportunity to represent Canada internationally. The Canucks 2023 third-rounder is projected to play a depth role for the Canadians while also seeing time on the penalty kill. An annoying player to play against, Mynio should also bring some physicality to Canada's third pairing.

While Sansonnens has a long history of representing Switzerland, this will be his first time at the World Juniors. Vancouver's seventh-round pick from 2024 is projected to play on either Switzerland's second or third pair while seeing time on the penalty kill. With a strong team in this year's tournament, Sansonnens will be aiming to help Switzerland claim a medal for the first time since 1998
