After trading their captain a short day ago, the Wildcats have traded for Tampa Bay Lightning prospect defenseman Dyllan Gill from the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies for prospect forward Niko El Khouri, a 2027 second round pick, a 2027 third, a 2025 fourth (from Saint John) and a 2025 5th (from Saint John).

Gill, 20, hasn't played a single game with the Huskies as he's been with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch -- potting four goals (2+2) across 24 games.

The 6-foot-3 blueliner is a former 2022 seventh round pick by the Lightning, off the back of a 21-point season (6+15). He would more than double that the following season with 57 points (8+49). He was on pace for similar numbers last season (9 in 12) before getting sidelined for the season to resolve a shoulder issue.

The Huskies in this trade effectively leave their roster unchanged as Gill hasn't iced in a game with the team, while adding prospect Niko El Khouri.

El Khouri, 16. has 37 points (21+16) across 27 games with the St. Hyacinthe Gaulois of the Quebec AAA league -- good enough to lead his team in goals.

The 5-foot-11 left winger is a former third round pick in the 2024 QMJHL draft by the Wildcats, and the youngster will be available to NHL teams in the 2026 draft. The Boucherville, QC native has no NCAA affiliation as of yet.
