2025 NFL mock draft roundup: Bears land big steals in Top 10

The Chicago Bears are in the middle of an important offseason, where they're currently looking for a new head coach to replace Matt Eberflus, who was fired during the season. But they're also primed to land a top prospect in the 2025 NFL draft with another top-10 pick.

The Bears will be selected 10th overall in the NFL draft. There are a slew of needs on the roster, most notably along the offensive line, where there are four starting spots up for grabs (with right tackle Darnell Wright safe), as well as along the defensive line.

We've rounded up the latest 2025 NFL mock drafts, where experts believe the Bears could snag a steal with the 10th overall pick.

The Athletic: OT Josh Simmons, Ohio State

The Athletic's Dane Brugler: "Simmons was trending towards being OT1 in this draft class until he suffered a knee injury in mid-October, which required season-ending surgery. His draft stock will be in limbo until the combine, when teams receive medical feedback from their doctors. But if he’s healthy, Simmons is a natural left tackle with a high ceiling."

CBS Sports: EDGE Abdul Carter, Penn State

CBS Sports' Chris Trapasso: "Abdul Carter would be a boon for the Bears at No. 10 overall given his burst, flexibility, length and ascending power."

Pro Football Network: OT Will Campbell, LSU

Pro Football Talk's Jacob Infante: "Though the Bears’ season ended on a high note with an upset victory on the road against the Packers, it’s clear that the current state of their offensive line is not acceptable if they want to give Caleb Williams the absolute best chance to develop. In this case, I would kick Campbell inside to guard with the option to move him back to left tackle if the Bears don’t extend Braxton Jones. Wherever he plays, LSU’s consensus All-American lineman would use his high football IQ, his expert hand usage, and combination of coordination and power to become a high-level starter in the NFL."

The 33rd Team: OT Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas

33rd Team's Kyle Crabbs: "The Bears simply need to improve the infrastructure around QB Caleb Williams. Williams himself needs to be better moving forward, too — but generally speaking, his ups and downs were exactly what you thought you were going to get out of him coming out of USC. Chicago's pass protection would benefit from a boost and there figures to be some turnover on the left side of the unit. Banks Jr. can serve as a solution for one of those two spots and give the team flexibility both short-term and long-term before hopefully landing as the team's left tackle of the future."

Athlon Sports: OT Josh Simmons, Ohio State

Athlon Sports' Luke Easterling: "Upgrading the offensive line has to be the top priority for the Bears this offseason, as they try to keep building a strong supporting cast around Caleb Williams. Simmons missed the majority of the 2024 season with a knee injury, but prior to that, he was arguably the most dominant left tackle in all of college football. If he can be that player again, he'll be worth a top-10 pick."

Marquee Sports Network: EDGE Mykel Williams, Georgia

Marquee Sports' Scott Bair: "Offensive linemen are typically attached to the Bears at No. 10, but both top tackles are off the board and, honestly, the Bears can survive with Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright. What they need are guards who eat nails for breakfast and a super-smart guy at center. Interior offensive linemen are rarely taken this high, so the Bears go with a premium position and someone who can provide a threat rushing the passer opposite Montez Sweat."

Sporting News: OT Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas

Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer: "The Bears cannot ignore the ridiculous sack rate of Caleb Williams in his rookie season and should focus on coming away with either Campbell or Banks to shore up their pass protection."

CBS Sports: RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State

CBS Sports' Mike Renner: "With tons of cap space, expect the Bears to address the offensive line elephant in the room in free agency. Once that box is ticked, Ashton Jeanty would be the perfect complement to Caleb Williams' athleticism in the backfield. He's a three-down back with elite tackle-breaking ability."
