2025 NFL mock draft roundup: Bears land stud offensive tackle at 10th overall
The Chicago Bears are in the midst of an important offseason, which starts with finding a new head coach to replace Matt Eberflus, who was fired during the season. But they're also primed to make waves in the 2025 NFL draft with another top-10 pick.
The Bears will be selected 10th overall in the NFL draft, where they're in a position to land a top prospect. There are a slew of needs on the roster, most notably along the offensive line, where there are four starting spots up for grabs (with right tackle Darnell Wright safe).
We've rounded up the latest 2025 NFL mock drafts, where experts believe the Bears are 100 percent going offensive line with the 10th overall pick.
ESPN: OT/G Will Campbell, LSU
ESPN's Jordan Reid: "After a humbling season, the Bears' concerns again center around an inconsistent offense. They finished this season with the worst sacks per dropback rate in the NFL (10.3%), so offensive line should be their top priority. Campbell would be a massive boost for a unit that needs multiple new starters. A consistent technician, the 6-foot-6, 323-pound Campbell is a polished blocker who can step in as a Day 1 starter at either tackle or guard and help protect Caleb Williams."
The Athletic: OT Will Campbell, LSU
The Athletic's Kevin Fishbain: "But if Campbell is available, he seems like exactly what the Bears need. A blue-chip player from the get-go at LSU, Campbell was first-team All-SEC the past two seasons and second-team as a freshman in 2022. He was a consensus All-American in 2024 and was a vocal leader in Baton Rouge. Campbell could start from Day 1 at left tackle or inside. Left tackle Braxton Jones will be returning from injury and entering the last year of his rookie deal. Despite his solid play when healthy, the Bears can’t go into 2025 handing anyone a starting job up front — except for right tackle Darnell Wright."
Pro Football Focus: OT Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas
Pro Football Focus' Trevor Sikkema: "The Bears’ offensive line was still too up-and-down this season for the front office to not make new investments. Banks is small in height and length for a tackle (might be just under 6-foot-4), so he may start his career inside at guard. That could work out flawlessly in Chicago, which seems to have more solidified talent at the tackle spots. His athletic ability is very impressive and provides him with a high ceiling, and he earned 86.8 and 88.0 PFF pass-blocking grades over the past two years."
CBS Sports: OT Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas
CBS Sports' Josh Edwards: "Chicago's focus has to be addressing the offensive or defensive lines. The Bears check that box with the selection of Texas left tackle Kelvin Banks. They are hiring a second head coach for Caleb Williams as they look to rebuild confidence."
NBC Sports: OT Josh Simmons, Ohio State
NBC Sports' Connor Rogers: "Simmons suffered a season-ending knee injury in the sixth game of the season, but his performances leading up to that leave you wondering if he could’ve been the consensus top tackle in this draft. He has the light feet and balance to mold into an excellent pass-protecting left tackle, which should be a priority in front of Caleb Williams."
FOX Sports: OT Will Campbell, LSU
FOX Sports' Henry McKenna: "Campbell might not be the 10th-best prospect in this class, but my goodness, the Bears need tackles. They can snatch him up here in hopes that he can help Chicago protect Caleb Williams."
Draft Network: OT Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas
Draft Network's Justin Melo: "Improving the protection in front of Williams needs to be Poles' top priority in the draft. Starting left tackle Braxton Jones has always felt like a bridge solution to something bigger. Jones suffered a season-ending injury that will impact his offseason program, and he'll be entering a contract year in 2025. Rookie blocker Kiran Amegadjie hasn't played well enough in spot duty to rely on him moving forward. Texas' Kelvin Banks Jr. is a plug-and-play tackle and I see him sticking outside as opposed to kicking to guard, as some have projected."
Bears Wire: OT Will Campbell, LSU
Bears Wire's Mike Pendleton: "To be very clear, if Campbell falls to the Chicago Bears, it should be the easiest no-brainer pick of the year. After allowing quarterback Caleb Williams to be sacked 68 times in his rookie year, the offensive line needs an upgrade nearly everywhere, but specifically the interior position. There’s a real chance the Bears have to address both guard positions and the center, and while some may see Campbell as an offensive tackle, he could also thrive at offensive guard. Either way, if he’s available, Chicago brings Campbell in and figures out the best place to play him."
