2025 NFL mock draft: Bears target big-time playmaker at No. 10

The Chicago Bears have plenty of work to do with their roster this offseason, where there are some glaring needs along the offensive and defensive lines. They'll have the resources to do just that with rough $75 million in salary cap space and four picks in the Top 75, including the 10th overall selection.

The obvious pick in the first round is one of the top offensive tackles -- LSU's Will Campbell or Texas' Kevin Banks Jr. But in a new mock draft from CBS Sports' Mike Renner, both are off the board at this point. So the Bears elect to target a top playmaker in the draft: Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty at 10th overall.

Here's what CBS Sports had to say:

With tons of cap space, expect the Bears to address the offensive line elephant in the room in free agency. Once that box is ticked, Ashton Jeanty would be the perfect complement to Caleb Williams' athleticism in the backfield. He's a three-down back with elite tackle-breaking ability.

Jeanty was one of college football's biggest playmakers this season, and he finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting, just behind Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter. Jeanty rushed for 2,601 yards, averaging 7.0 yards per carry, and 29 touchdowns. He added 23 receptions for 138 yards and a score.

General manager Ryan Poles has always preached best available player, so it'll be interesting to see if the board falls as is if the Bears would elect to take a running back at No. 10 when there are greater needs along the roster.
