2025 NFL draft order: Bears can pick no worse than this spot

The Chicago Bears suffered another brutal loss in a 34-17 defeat to the Detroit Lions in Week 16. It marked the team's ninth straight loss following their 4-2 start, and now all eyes are toward what's going to be one of the most important offseasons in franchise history.

But there was also plenty of action around the league that has impacted the 2025 NFL draft order as the regular season is just a couple of weeks from concluding. So how did Week 16 action impact Chicago's current draft positioning?

Following Week 16 action, the Bears currently hold three picks in the top 41 in the 2025 NFL draft, according to Tankathon. And with just two weeks left, Chicago cannot pick worse than 10th overall in the draft, which is great news for landing a top prospect to shore up the roster.

The Bears' first-round pick is sitting inside the top 10 at No. 9 overall, where two other 4-11 teams (Carolina Panthers, No. 7, and New York Jets, No. 8) sit just above them. The New Orleans Saints are sitting right behind them at 5-10, and there's a chance they could move up. The San Francisco 49ers are siting at 6-9 (and the 11th pick), but they have a more difficult strength of schedule. Meanwhile, the Bears also own the Panthers' second-round selection, which currently sits at No. 41 overall. Chicago's own second-round pick is currently slotted at No. 40 overall.
