2024 NBA draft: Second round's early start time, TV and draft order

The 2024 NBA draft is halfway through its completion, with an exciting first round now in the past. Zaccharie Risacher headlined the night as the No. 1 overall pick to the Atlanta Hawks. It's now time for the second round.

There are plenty of players still out there, with Johnny Furphy (Kansas), Kyle Filipowski (Duke) and Tyler Kolek (Marquette) as the best available players heading into Thursday's draft.

There is perhaps no bigger name than Bronny James, who experts still believe gets his name called when the Lakers select at No. 55. Time will tell as the second round puts a bow on the next generation of NBA players.

What time does the draft start, and when do teams pick?

The NBA draft's new format kicks off its second round Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. ET.

Each team was allotted five minutes to select a player during the first round. That is now down to just four minutes separating each pick this evening.
