For all of the sartorial credit first daughter Ivanka Trump has been garnering lately, there appears to be a sense that she may be mirroring her trendsetting mother after browsing through pics of the two mothers of three.

Before the 2016 election, a candid photograph of Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of President Trump and former wife Ivana Trump, donning a shimmery gold and white dress showed up on the internet — most notably on the first daughter's own account (where it has since shepherded thousands of likes).

Response to that image, a photo of the then 32-year-old wearing the same fringed number her mother wore in the wake of her divorce from Donald Trump, was immediate.

It was quickly picked up by sites like People, Inside Edition, and Us Weekly who headlined the story similar to other outlets, claiming Trump's ensemble was "stolen straight out of her mama's closet," while others just heralded Trump's daughter for "classy and elegant" taste.

But for many, it remains clear that Ivana Trump's taste in clothing has been inherited by her oldest daughter, who, as the photos below show, has taken several pages out of her mother's style playbook in the past.
