New exhibition showcases never-before-seen artifacts from WWI

A new exhibition called 'Remembering 1916 - Life on the Western Front' is coming to the Whitgift School in Croydon, England.

Marking the Centenary of the First World War and the momentous battles at Verdun, Jutland and the Somme, 'Remembering 1916 - Life on the Western Front' presents a collection of more than 600 original objects. Many are from private collections and have never before been displayed in public.

The exhibition showcases the pivotal year of the First World War through a unique series of personal items and stories including letters, dog tags and uniforms. Stories are included from both sides of war as seen by Britain, France and Germany.

The exhibition will run from March 12 to Aug. 31, 2016.
