Barcelona didn’t do too much business last summer, but one of their most notable deals saw a very highly-rated midfielder arrive from Eintracht Frankfurt: Noah Darvich. The 17-year-old is valued extremely highly within La Masia, to the point that he was already playing for Barca Atletic last season.

Darvich played 21 times for the subsidiary in his first season as a Barcelona player, and the arrival of compatriot Hansi Flick appears to have boosted his chances of being involved in the first team for the forthcoming 2024-25 campaign. That’s because he will be assessed by the former Bayern Munich and Germany manager during pre-season, as revealed by Sport.

Flick and his coaching staff are very aware of Darvich, and this is certainly the case for Heiko Westermann, who previously worked in the youth categories of the Germany setup. He’s expected to be with the first team for the vast majority of their pre-season schedule, as he eyes up further progression at Barcelona.
