12 percent of men think they could win a point off Serena Williams
Serena Williams is one of the best tennis players to ever set foot on a court, and one of the greatest athletes of all time. Period.
With 23 Grand Slam titles to her name, Williams has made the sport look easy for almost 20 years. Despite her dominance, a recent survey of over 1,700 British citizens found that 12 percent of males thought they could win a point off the legend, with 14 percent undecided.

That’s right, one in eight men believe they could steal a point off the 37-year-old. They’re probably banking on a double fault at some point during the match because it’s tough to imagine Williams losing a rally against an average Joe.
In contrast, only three percent of women surveyed believed they could accomplish the feat, which seems much more reasonable.
Williams can match Margaret Court for most career Grand Slam titles if she defeats Simona Halep in Saturday’s Wimbledon final. If she claims her eighth singles title at the All England Club, it would be interesting to see if the men surveyed change their tune.
