The 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, died on Sunday at the age of 100. Carter was the longest-lived president in the history of the United States.

The former President has left behind a long legacy, one that is dominated by his post-White House humanitarian work, which he received a Nobel Peace Prize for in 2002. Carter reportedly passed peacefully in his home in Plains, Georgia surrounded by family.

Not only was Carter an incredibly influential man in politics, he was an avid fan of Atlanta sports teams, most notably the Atlanta Braves. To celebrate Carter's life, here are 12 photos of the former President attending Braves games over the years.
