The 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, died on Sunday at the age of 100. Carter was the longest-lived president in the history of the United States.
The former President has left behind a long legacy, one that is dominated by his post-White House humanitarian work, which he received a Nobel Peace Prize for in 2002. Carter reportedly passed peacefully in his home in Plains, Georgia surrounded by family.
