Game Point: Wrapping up the 2010 U.S. Open

Game Point is Busted Racquet's roundup of facts, figures and links from around the web.

Love -- Who's the most dominant player in tennis? The answer may surprise you.

Esther Vergeer, a Dutch wheelchair player, has won 396 straight matches, a run of greatness which makes Rafael Nadal look positively pedestrian. She took her 16th Grand Slam title at this year's U.S. Open, winning in the final 6-0, 6-0. Vergeer was honored at the start of the tournament alongside Martina Navratilova and James Blake and looked resplendent during her much-deserved moment in the spotlight.

15 -- Remember way back in the day (three weeks ago) when we posted about rapper Lil Wayne sending Sports Illustrated his U.S. Open picks from prison? Well, Weezy knows his tennis. Unlike all the tennis experts at the magazine (and one Yahoo! Sports blogger), the rapper correctly picked out Rafa and Kim Clijsters as the eventual champs in New York.

30 -- SI's Jon Wertheim may not be able to predict tennis better than a Purple Drank-loving rapper, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't read his 50 thoughts about the U.S. Open. It's excellent, as always.

40 -- Novak Djokovic won't have time to wallow in his defeat in the Open finals. The Serbian will play in this weekend's Davis Cup tie against the Czech Republic in Belegrade. He said he's doing it for the fans in his home country and that his loss to Nadal on Monday won't affect his form. The winner of the tie will face either France or Argentina in the Davis Cup final.

Game -- Internet, you rarely let me down. When I want to watch a clip of the theme song to "Mr. Belvedere," you're there. When I need to know who "Dear Prudence" was about, you come through. But it's been two weeks now since Djokovic's father showed up to the U.S. Open wearing a shirt with his son's oversized, falcon-wearing image on it and I can't find a place to buy this anywhere. FOR SHAME!
