The effect of today's deflate-gate ruling on gambling odds

If you threw some money down on the Patriots following the initial Tom Brady suspension, you made a very shrewd move. Here’s how the various gambling lines on the Patriots and Brady have re-adjusted following today’s ruling:

Immediately following an ever-so-slight Super Bowl win, the Pats opened at 6-1 to repeat, Upon Brady’s suspension, their odds dropped to 12-1.  They are now back to 9-1.

As expected, Vegas has a lot more confidence in Brady than Jimmy Garoppolo, moving the week 1 line against the Steelers from -3 to -6.5.

The Pats, who have won 12 of the last 13 division crowns, have moved from 2-3 favorites to 1-2 to win the AFC East.

Brady’s MVP odds have been cut in half, from 20-1 to 10-1 and the team win total remains the same at 10.5. However, you’d have to wager $150 to win $100 if you think they’ll go over.
