Pitch invading chickens make their way to Argentina

Since the appearance of the Blackburn chicken last season, football has been largely devoid of poultry. Quilmes fans changed that on Sunday when they dressed up a few chickens in River Plate colors and dropped them on the pitch during their side's 1-0 win.

"Gallinas" (chicken) has been a pejorative nickname for River since they squandered a two goal lead in the second leg of the 1966 Copa Libertadores final against Penarol. And 46 years later that nickname is still as alive as the chickens giving one man a bit of trouble at the end of the clip above.

Meanwhile, Boca Juniors had a cat on the pitch during their match against Estudiantes...

Anfield Cat will likely be suing this impostor for stealing his schtick.
