DTotD: Brazilian U-13 match turns into a large kick fight

A U-13 derby match between Bahia and Vitoria in the Independence Cup final resulted in the kind of violence we're more accustomed to seeing from adult footballers. It started when a Vitoria striker was having a bit of banter with Bahia defenders. The goalkeeper apparently heard something he didn't appreciate and delivered a chop punch to the Vitoria player's back, prompting him to fall over.

This sparked an all-out kick fight with Bahia players swarming around a downed Vitoria player and mercilessly unloading on him while another Vitoria player ran the gauntlet through a maze of flying boots before collapsing on the side of the pitch. In the end, Bahian was awarded a 2-1 win though the match was ended early. Two Vitoria players needed medical attention but should be fine.

This has been the Dirty Tackle of the Day: a chronicling of unfortunate events.
