Witness hockey fan’s massive beer can pyramid next to ice in ECHL (Photo)

The Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL know how to throw a fan promotion, which is to cram as much awesome as you can into one game. So on Friday night they had “Pucks and Pups Night,” which featured wiener dog races on the ice as well as special tickets that got you a commemorative glass, three appetizers and a sampling of five beers. That’s on top of dollar PBR and Miller High Life cans, two beers per person per trip.

Well, that’s a lot of cans. Whatever does one do with so many empties?

Ah, yes: BEER PYRAMID!

Reader Bret Bashim sent in this photo from the Cyclones’ game against the Wheeling Nailers. Alas, we didn’t get the one with the beer cans violently falling to the ground when a player threw himself into the boards to knock them down, which we assumed happened.

Of course, in a perfect world, this fan would have been allowed to build this impressive feat of alcoholic architecture on the ice, and then everyone could fire pucks at it like those milk bottles at a carnival. Of course, they’d actually fall down, unlike those milk bottles at the carnival.

God bless minor league hockey, and the dollar beer that is its lifeblood.
