Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn trick mothers with fake Valentine's Day proposals (Video)

Ah Valentine’s Day … a time of year to help prop up chocolate companies and card makers. Some people take it super seriously setting up big-time dates. Some will take said date to see “50 Shades of Grey.” And some will propose this Saturday. Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn jokingly told their mom’s they will try the latter in this hilarious video provided by TSN.

Just watch the acting jobs by both …

For reasons beyond the hot water they somehow found themselves in earlier in the week because of comments made on a Dallas-area radio show, this is fantastic.

Reason No. 1: Benn asks for “Nanny’s” ring. Seguin asks for “Nana’s” ring. Enter cheeky grandmotherish name? YES!

Reason No. 2: Seguin’s mom calls him “Such an asshole” while Benn’s mom clearly seems disappointed.

Reason No. 3: Seguin had the best line when he goes “Why would you let me propose to someone at 23?”

Yeah buddy, keep living that bachelor lifestyle. And yes, you're a 23-year-old millionaire, we agree with you.

Both did a better acting job than Basil McRae and Mike Modano in “Mighty Ducks” which is the gold standard for hockey actors, so we have to give them props for that.
