In our next installment of "Tomas Hertl is incredibly adorable," the San Jose Sharks forward landed in Prague on Monday ahead of the 2014 World Championships, which begin later this week in Minsk.

Hertl will join his Czech Republic teammates after the Sharks were eliminated in the first round last week by the Los Angeles Kings. Coming along for the ride with the young Shark was a special gift given to him from a now-retired NHLer.

That ex-NHLer just happened to be Martin Biron, whose final game was highlighted by the fact that Hertl did this...

So to bookend one of the most memorable nights of the 2013-14 NHL season, Biron gave Hertl a signed stick (which looks like the one from that October night) six months after the night the Rangers were blown out by the Sharks 9-2 and the netminder allowed a between-the-legs highlight-reel goal.

Considering the notion that Hertl deked Biron right into retirement on that goal, the stick is practically a talisman. The Czechs are probably hoping so.

I'm not sure what's the better gift that Hertl has received in recent weeks. The Biron stick or the Dave and Buster's gift card so he can go accumulate more stuffed animals from "Despicable Me".
