SPHL goaltender does ‘The Wobble’ in epic intermission dance (Video)

Andrew Loewen is the starting netminder for the Columbus Cottonmouths of the SPHL, the team that recently made headlines for signing Shannon Szabados, who backstopped Canada to women's Olympic hockey gold.

Loewen played the backup role last Saturday, as Szabados made her pro debut in a 4-3 loss to Knoxville. But rather than sit idly by and wait for his next start, Loewen decided to seize his newfound freedom and focus on his second love:

The dance.

That dance in particular? The Wobble, as Loewen threw down alongside the Columbus cheerleaders and mascot during the game's second intermission:

Safe to say this guy puts the "win" in Loewen. Look at him go.

Honestly, it's about time we saw a goaltender put that huge backside to its proper use. Goalie padding gives every goalie "dat ass". Really, they should all be twerking all the time.

Anyway. Consider this your daily reminder that no goaltender likes to play second fiddle. Oh, people are out here to see Szabados? Can she do this!? Oh, she won a gold medal? Neat. Can she serve fools on the floor? Because you best believe Andrew Loewen can.

That said, as slick as his moves are, it's hardly the best dance routine we've seen from a hockey player this season. A worthy challenge, but the championship belt remains with Adrian Alvarstein of the Norwegian league.
