Tim Jackman may never score a luckier goal in his NHL career. The Anaheim Ducks forward benefited from a bouncing puck to beat Roberto Luongo during a 5-2 loss to the Florida Panthers.

Late in the second period, Jackman backhanded the puck in from center ice and was rewarded as it took a couple of wacky bounces and went over Luongo’s glove:

As Brian Hayward mentions, Luongo’s positioning could have been better, but we’ve seen it happen so many times before where a goaltender just freezes as the bouncing puck approaches.

Fortunately for Luongo, after the game he figured out a way to prevent these types of goals in the future:

"Perfect shot," Luongo joked after the game.
