Peter Laviolette takes puck to head, keeps coaching, is tougher than you (Video)

Nashville Predators coach Peter Laviolette is one of those guys that preaches toughness to his lineup. You know, using delicious words like “jam.”

What better way to preach toughness than to lead by example?

Near the end of the first period of the Predators’ game vs. the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night, a puck went off the glove of Jacob Trouba and off of Laviolette’s head, cutting him above the right eye.

The Predators coach doubled over for a moment … and then returned to coaching as the trainer looked him over.

And with that, Laviolette went back to being thankful that it was a puck off an opponent's glove rather than a Shea Weber slapshot that traveled into the Predators’ bench.

Jokes aside, Laviolette’s boss can attest to how much damage a puck to the face can cause. Thankfully, Lavy seems OK.
