NHL Three Stars: Wilson’s 4-point night sinks Avs; Lundqvist bests Penguins

No. 1 Star: Colin Wilson, Nashville Predators

Wilson was a beneficiary and contributor in a high scoring affair as the Predators beat the Colorado Avalanche 6-4. Wilson finished with four points and his two goals were big for Nashville. The first came on a power play early in the second period to give the Predators a 4-2 lead. After they squandered that lead, Wilson's second 7:34 into the third period would eventually stand as the game winner.

No. 2 Star: Henrik Lundqvist, New York Rangers

Lundqvist won his third game in four starts with a 28-save night during a 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Five different Rangers scored and Brian Boyle and Brad Richards each ended the night with two points. After seeing 20 shots through two periods, it took a while before Lundqvist saw action in the third period as the Penguins went without one for the opening 14 minutes of the final frame.

No. 3 Star: Hampus Lindholm, Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks rookie scored his first NHL goal in the opening period and added an assist on a Corey Perry tally late in the second period as Anaheim rolled over Phoenix 5-2. Nick Bonino, Cam Fowler and Ryan Getzlaf also had two points apiece as the Ducks won for the sixth time in seven games.

Honorable mention: Behind Patrick Sharp's goal and assist and Corey Crawford's 24 saves, the Chicago Blackhawks downed the Winnipeg Jets 4-1. Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane each scored first period goals to help pace the Blackhawks to their fourth win in five games ... Dot dudes: Toews was 15-for-17 in the face-off circle, while Nick Spaling was 11-for-12 ... Milestone games: Paul Martin (600), Devin Setoguchi (400), Dustin Jeffrey (100) ... Adam Pardy's going to hang on to his helmet next time he gets checked into the stands ... Viktor Stalberg picked up his first two points of the season with a goal and an assist ... Matt Duchene had three points in a losing effort and provided more evidence that he's so, so good:

Dishonorable mention: Pascal Dupuis left the game in the second period and did not return with an undisclosed injury ... Pittsburgh's four-game win streak came to an end, as did Colorado's six-game streak.
