NHL Three Stars: Santorelli plays OT hero for Canucks; Jets fans salute Teemu

No. 1 Star: Mike Santorelli, Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks center had two goals against the Calgary Flames, including the game-winner in overtime on deflection of a Kevin Bieksa pass. The Canucks won, 5-4, giving Eddie Lack the victory in his first NHL appearance in goal.

No. 2 Star: Corey Perry, Anaheim Ducks

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Zach Bogosian gave him a gift, and Perry cashed in at 14:29 of the third period, beating Ondrej Pavelec point blank for the eventual game winner. Anaheim defeated the Jets, 3-2.

No. 3 Star: Jeff Skinner, Carolina Hurricanes

Skinner’s aggressive forecheck led to Radek Dvorak’s second-period goal, the eventual game-winner, in Carolina’s 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. Skinner pressed in and forced Luke Schenn into a turnover, and the puck deflected to Dvorak for the goal. He also had a secondary assist on Jay Harrison’s first-period goal.
