Listen to amazing NHL mumps song, to tune of Taylor Swift (Video)

As you may have heard, the NHL has been hit with an odd outbreak of the mumps, affecting upwards of six teams and around 14 players.

We’ve had plenty of theories and explanations on how this virus has spread from player to player. What we’ve yet to have is a definitive parody anthem for this bizarre epidemic – until now.

Tally Deushane, the ukulele-strumming songstress behind the classic “Puck Bunnies” song, is back with “Mumps Face,” a hilarious hockey-centric take-off on Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space.”

Sample prose:

Old illness, almost gone

Now it's a pandemic scene

Ain't it funny rumors fly

And I know you heard about

Crosby's face, let's be real

Wonder how the beat guys feel.

Grab your doctor by the hand

Hope he can make you better by the weekend

Yeah, it's totally contagious

Wait 'til it hits the Flames

When I log on Twitter (mmm)

I see another name

Got a long list of infected

Guys playing through the pain

'Cause you know I love the players

But it's just a game.

It’s just about perfect. Right down to the “better vaccinate.”

So please, enjoy this NHL mumps anthem, which is good enough to even make those afflicted with the infection laugh. Provided it’s not paralyzing painful with those inflated salivary glands.
