Henrik Lundqvist makes stunning blocker save on Thomas Vanek (Video)

Henrik Lundqvist is good. We know this. As the New York Rangers tried to close out the Montreal Canadiens in Game 6 Thursday night, King Henrik was back in form, two days after being pulled during their 7-4 loss.

Late in the second period, Thomas Vanek attempted a cross-crease pass to Michael Bournival, but Dan Girardi's stick got in the way and deflected the puck in the air and toward the short side of Lundqvist's net. The Rangers' netminder adjusted his positioning, dropped his stick and knocked the puck away with his blocker:

Definitely a sign that Montreal needs much more than luck to find a way to beat Lundqvist.

Minutes later, Dominic Moore would score to give New York a 1-0 lead heading into the second intermission. If the Rangers hang on for the win, you can bet that save by Lundqvist will receive plenty of credit.
