Discovery Twitter handle trolls Pittsburgh Penguins playoff ouster
It was a pretty crummy season for the Pittsburgh Penguins. And this henceforth has led to a crummy offseason, one that has led to question about the team, its coach, its management and all sort of delicious topics. The Pens could probably take some beatings from pundits and move on. But Discovery?
Maybe the person behind the television network’s Twitter handle is a Rangers fan? Maybe a Flyers fan? Check this tweet exchange:
On average, emperor penguins grow to be 3.8 feet tall >> http://t.co/HpD6bwgzhQ pic.twitter.com/PgLuwLYuBB

@penguins Strange. Our latest observations show no Penguin activity currently on ice in Pittsburgh. Where did they go?

Burrrrrrrrrrrn
It started out as sort of fun and games, between the two Twitter handles. Discovery tweeted out the average size of the emperor penguin, and then the Pens Twitter handle tweeted out the average size of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Then it turned ugly?
Hopefully Pittsburgh didn't take it too seriously since, it is pretty funny. Nice job by Discovery to dip its toes into the world of trolling. Informing us about the Pittsburgh Penguins' demise is also educational to some degree.
