Andrew Hammond scoops up hamburger after win over Philly (Video)

Ottawa goaltender Andrew Hammond is on quite a run. He’s 10-0-1 this year, with a 1.39 goals against average and .955 save percentage. Not bad for a guy with one NHL game played in his career prior.

Also, they call him ‘The Hamburglar’ and well, why not feed the beast. Check out the video of Hammond picking up a burger off the ice at Canadian Tire Centre after a 2-1 shootout win over Philadelphia.

No clue if he ate the thing. Looks kinda gross to be honest. But a hamburger beats an octopus in Detroit or a catfish in Nashville.

Regardless of whether Ottawa makes the playoffs – they’re still five points back of Boston for the final spot – Hammond’s run has been fun to watch. And not a bad job by the 27-year-old White Rock, B.C. native.
