Tom Brady merchandise sold more than any other NFL player in 2015-16

You like him, you really like him! (Well, some people do. Based on tweets and internet comments we've seen, a lot of people aren't so fond of him.)

At any rate, when the NFL Players' Assocaition released the top 50 player sales list on Monday morning, ranking sales of merchandise for the 2015-2016 season (March 1, 2015 through February 29, 2016), New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was atop the chart.

According to a release from the NFLPA, the rankings include player-identified products sold by over 80 companies licensed by the union, through online and traditional retailers. Sales of NFL player merchandise topped $1.5 billion last year.

Predictably, quarterbacks dominate the top of the list, as the top four are all players at the position: after Brady is recently-retired Denver Broncos' QB Peyton Manning, the Seattle Seahawks' Russell Wilson, and the Green Bay Packers' Aaron Rodgers.

Receiver Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys was the first non-QB on the list, at No. 5. Regining league MVP Cam Newton is on the list at seven; the NFLPA said sales of Newton's Auburn No. 1 merchandise was tops in collegiate co-branded items. Brady's No. 10 from his days at Michigan.
