Position statement: Award show flaws

In Mike Florio's 'Position Statement' segment, Florio takes issue with when NFL award winners are announced. Votes are cast at the end of Week 17 and we don't find out the winners until 33 days later, but no one really cares by then. Adding to the fact the winners are revealed a day before the Super Bowl takes place, Florio says it creates awkward situations.

Like last year when Aaron Rodgers learned he was MVP of the league a day before Eli Manning and Tom Brady clashed for the Super Bowl. Florio suggests an announcement by mid-January or the night before the conference championship games would be best.
