Patriots writer talked out of Tom Brady MVP vote … by Brady, who picked Peyton Manning

Good writers such as CSNNE.com's Tom Curran try to gather as much information and consider as many angles when voting for NFL awards.

So when Curran approached an NFL player he knew and asked him to review his ballot, the player suggested one change.

Yes, Curran confirmed to Shutdown Corner on Sunday that he approached Brady with his Brady-for-MVP vote before the deadline to submits his picks, and Brady talked Curran into voting for Peyton Manning. Curran told us he checks with Brady every year with his picks, "to see if anything's whacked." This is real life, people.

So while Manning was not unanimous to win the award, you can stop blaming Curran for being the guy who didn't vote for him. The man who did: Brady's former backup, Jim Miller, who now is an analyst for SiriusXM NFL Radio.
