Johnny Manziel visiting the Oakland Raiders; talk about a match made in heaven

If there ever was a perfect match, Johnny Manziel and the Oakland Raiders are made for each other.

Oakland has the historic bad boy reputation. Raiders fans are, umm, passionate?

Manziel showed up with rapper Drake at the Final Four and was booed when shown on the Jumbotron. He is already disliked despite never taking one snap in the NFL.

Well, Manziel spent Sunday and Monday on a predraft visit with Oakland, and even if it appears unlikely he will play for the Raiders, the thought of him wearing silver and back (minus the face paint) is intriguing.

Oakland traded a sixth-round pick to obtain Matt Schaub this offeason. Schaub restructured his contract, and coach Dennis Allen said the newly acquired quarterback would be his starter after Terrelle Pryor and Matt McGloin struggled during Oakland's second straight four-win season.

That does not mean Oakland will overlook a quarterback in the upcoming draft.

Schaub is a short-term solution for Oakland. In addition, Schaub set an NFL record with an interception returned for a touchdown in four consecutive games last season. If he struggles again, Johnny Football coming to the rescue would be must-see TV.

NFL teams can host up to 30 draft-eligible players, which means Manziel’s visit could just be a formality.

But Manziel and the Raiders might be a perfect match.
