Jay Cutler, Alex Smith and Percy Harvin headline Week 12 injury reports

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin (ankle) did not practice this week and is considered "doubtful" to play against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Harvin sprained his ankle in a loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 4, an injury that kept him out of a Nov. 11 win over the Detroit Lions. If Harvin is unable to play, rookie Jarius Wright is expected to see more action against the Bears. Wright caught three passes for 65 yards and a touchdown in his NFL debut against the Lions.

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler (concussion) was limited in this week's practices and is listed as "questionable" for Sunday's game against the Vikings. Cutler will be examined by an independent neurologist on Saturday, which will determine his availability on Sunday. If Cutler is not cleared, Jason Campbell, who is "probable" with a rib injury, will make a second start under center. In addition to Cutler, tight end Kellen Davis is listed as "questionable" with an ankle injury.

Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews (hamstring), cornerback Sam Shields (ankle) and safety Charles Woodson (collarbone) have been ruled "out" for Sunday night's game against the New York Giants, but wide receiver Greg Jennings (groin/abdomen) is "questionable" and could play for the first time since Sept. 30. Jennings has just 12 receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown this season, which is the final year of his current contract. In addition to hurting his market value next offseason, Jennings has lost $175,000 in "per game active" roster bonuses and a $25,000 incentive for being active for at least 12 games this season. The Giants will be without wide receiver Domenik Hixon (ankle) and listed safety Kenny Phillips (knee) and linebacker Keith Rivers (calf/knee) as "questionable". Like Jennings, Phillips has not played since Sept. 30.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger (right shoulder) and Byron Leftwich (ribs) were officially declared "out" for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. 37-year-old Charlie Batch will start for the Steelers, with Brian Hoyer serving as the No. 2 quarterback on Sunday. The Steelers also declared right tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) out for a sixth consecutive week, but safety Troy Polamalu is only "doubtful" after missing all but 77 snaps this season due to a calf injury. Wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) is "questionable", which could be bad news for a Browns secondary that will be without Dimitri Patterson (ankle) and has Joe Haden at less than 100 percent with an oblique injury. After missing last Sunday's overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Haden is "probable" to face the Steelers after practicing fully on Friday.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith has yet to be cleared from his concussion and is listed as "questionable" on the team's injury report. Jim Trotter of Sports Illustrated reported this week that even if Smith were cleared, the 49ers would start second-year quarterback Colin Kaepernick against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The Saints will get a key cog of their offense back as running back Darren Sproles is listed as "probable" after missing the last three games following surgery on his left hand. Protecting Drew Brees could be complicated as the Saints ruled out Charles Brown (knee) and listed Zach Strief as "questionable" with a groin injury. If Strief can't play, undrafted rookie Bryce Harris would start at right tackle against a 49ers' pass rush that produced six sacks on Monday night, including 5 ½ from outside linebacker Aldon Smith.

The Seattle Seahawks are healthy coming out of their bye week, listing seven players on their injury report, all as "probable". Included among the list were running back Marshawn Lynch (back), left guard James Carpenter (concussion) , defensive end Red Bryant (foot) and linebacker K.J. Wright (concussion). The lone injury concern for the Miami Dolphins is backup linebacker Austin Spitler, who is "questionable" with an ankle injury.

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola did not practice all week and is "doubtful" to face the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The Rams ruled linebacker Mario Haggan (elbow) out and starting tight end Lance Kendricks (knee) is "questionable". Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb's ribs have improved to the point where he's now listed as "questionable" on the injury report, but 2012 sixth round pick Ryan Lindley will make his first NFL start on Sunday. The Cardinals also listed defensive end Calais Campbell as "questionable" with a calf injury that kept him out of last Sunday's loss to the Falcons.

The Atlanta Falcons could be without linebacker Sean Weatherspoon (ankle), defensive tackle Peria Jerry (knee) and wide receiver Julio Jones when they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. All three are listed as "questionable" on Friday's injury report. The Buccaneers' biggest injury concern is cornerback Eric Wright, who is "questionable" with an Achilles injury that kept him out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Wright was limited on Friday, a sure sign that he will be available to play on Sunday.

Two key members should return to the Denver Broncos lineup as right guard Chris Kuper (ankle) and cornerback Tracy Porter (illness) are "probable" for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Porter has not played since experiencing symptoms similar to a seizure he suffered during August before the team departed for its Week 6 meeting with the Chargers. Kuper has missed the last two weeks with his high ankle sprain. On the flip side, the Chiefs could be without 75 percent of their starting offensive line on Sunday. Left tackle Branden Albert is "doubtful" with a back injury and guard Jon Asamoah (thumb) and center Ryan Lilja (knee) are "questionable". The Chiefs should get wide receivers Dwayne Bowe (neck/back) and Jon Baldwin (head/neck) back for the Broncos game.

Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta (concussion) passed his baseline and is expected to play against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. The Ravens' secondary will be shorthanded as Jimmy Smith remains out following surgery to repair a sports hernia and Chris Johnson, who was signed to help replace Smith, is "doubtful" with a thigh injury. The Chargers have ruled out wide receiver Eddie Royal (hamstring) and listed starting guard Tyronne Green (hamstring) as "doubtful" and starting nose tackle Aubrayo Franklin (knee) as "questionable".

Buffalo Bills defensive end Mark Anderson and cornerback Aaron Williams will miss Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts with knee injuries. Bills defensive tackle Spencer Johnson (ankle) is "questionable". For the Colts, cornerback Vontae Davis is "doubtful" with a knee injury that has kept him out of the past three games. Defensive end Cory Redding (hip) and rookie tight end Coby Fleener (shoulder) are "questionable".

The Tennessee Titans listed safety Al Afalava as "doubtful" with an ankle injury and listed five players, including tight end Craig Stevens (hamstring), as "questionable" for their meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The recognizable names on the Titans' injury report — quarterback Jake Locker, wide receiver Kenny Britt and middle linebacker Colin McCarthy — are "probable". The Jaguars will be without running back Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) for a fifth consecutive week and one wonders if MJD will eventually land on injured reserve. Fullback Greg Jones (thigh) is also out and the secondary could be weakened as cornerback Rashean Mathis (groin) and safety Dwight Lowery (ankle) are "questionable".

Oakland Raiders running backs Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson (ankles) and defensive tackle Richard Seymour (knee/hamstring) will each miss a third consecutive game as all three have been ruled "out" by head coach Dennis Allen.

"They made progress this week, but they're not ready to go yet," Allen said on Friday according to Steve Corkran of the Bay Area News Group.

With McFadden and Goodson out, Marcel Reese will start at running back for the Raiders, who will face a relatively healthy Cincinnati Bengals squad on Sunday. The only injury of note for the Bengals is wide receiver Andrew Hawkins, who is "doubtful" with a knee injury. Center Jeff Faine and safety Reggie Nelson are "probable" after missing the last two games with hamstring injuries.
