Jason Pierre-Paul jokes that he made a typo because of his missing finger

Jason Pierre-Paul infamously blew off one of his fingers during a Fourth of July accident. But at least he hasn't blown off his sense of humor, right, folks?

To wit: Pierre-Paul, who is rehabbing in advance of rejoining the Giants, offered up an inspirational message on Twitter on Sunday:

First mistake: trying to be inspirational on Twitter, which is a cesspool of venom and pettiness that we still love nonetheless. Second mistake: using "accepted" instead of "except." It's an easy enough mistake, particularly if Pierre-Paul was using Siri. But after the usual mindless criticism from readers, Pierre-Paul offered up a reasonable excuse:

What, you're going to call him out on that?

Pierre-Paul has not yet indicated when he'll return to the Giants. The team can't compel him to return because Pierre-Paul exists in a weird contractual limbo: the Giants have extended him a $14.813 million franchise-tag contractual offer, but Pierre-Paul has not yet signed it. The team has not yet rescinded the tag because of the lack of quality pass-rushers; 90 percent of Pierre-Paul is better than 100 percent of most other available players at his position.
