Shutdown Corner

Cowboys score two return touchdowns in just over a minute, and three TDs in 2:35, to beat the Eagles

Giving up two back-breaking, head-scratching, fourth-quarter touchdowns to find a way to lose is what Dallas usually does.

Fortunately for the Cowboys, the Eagles have plenty of experience in that disappointing dance as well.

Dallas turned a tie game into a 14-point lead in the matter of 70 seconds -- three touchdowns came within 2:35 of each other -- and beat the Eagles 38-23. Dallas improved to 4-5 with the win.

The Cowboys took a 24-17 lead against the Eagles with a Dwayne Harris 78-yard punt return. That came just 1:25 after Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant tied the game on a diving 30-yard touchdown.

Then Philadelphia quarterback Nick Foles, who was playing for Michael Vick after Vick suffered a concussion, threw a pass that was picked off by Brandon Carr. Carr returned it 47 yards for the touchdown to take control of the game.

In the matter of just a few minutes, Dallas had taken control of the game and saved its season.
