Barry Sanders makes fans dash for their copies of Madden 25

It's almost MaddenMas, everybody! Yes, the August release date of the latest edition of Madden is the day when gamers everywhere, be they children or overgrown children, dive headfirst into their own versions of the NFL, where the Raiders or Chargers or Cardinals can reign supreme. EA Sports is cranking up the promos to work us all into a froth, and here's the latest: Barry Sanders making fans work for an early copy of Madden 25.

Sanders had people of all ages and abilities dash 40 yards for a free copy, with a Madden available for anyone who hit the leaderboard or beat a time in their respective age groups. According to EA, several hundred people ran and 100 won themselves a copy.

For the rest of us, the game drops August 27. Until then, consider drafting that kid as your second running back. He'll be more reliable than Le'Veon Bell, guaranteed.
