Cooper tore ligaments in his knee during the 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons at Washington and was granted three extra years by the NCAA. He spent those years as a reserve running back for the Huskies, but also as an inspirational team captain.

He’ll transfer to San Jose State as a grad student and will be eligible to play immediately.

Last season, Cooper had 16 carries for 98 yards and a touchdown. He finishes his Washington career with 122 carries for 653 yards and four touchdowns.
