Washington kicks DB Patrick Enewally off team after reported altercation with teammate

Redshirt freshman defensive back Patrick Enewally is no longer a member of Washington's football team.

The school announced the decision to dismiss him from the program Thursday. According to the Seattle Times, Enewally punched a teammate in the face earlier in the week.

Enewally was the state of California's No. 92 prospect in the class of 2013 and a three-star recruit according to Rivals. He was recruited to UW by former coach Steve Sarkisian. Sarkisian left for USC at the end of the year.

He was replaced by former Boise State coach Chris Petersen, who has also disciplined WR Damore’ea Stringfellow and QB Cyler Miles. The two were suspended indefinitely in February after allegations of incidents following the Super Bowl. Miles wasn't charged with a crime because of insufficient evidence, but Stringfellow is charged with three misdemeanors.

Petersen said Miles could return this spring and practice. He's Washington's projected starter at quarterback.

Enewally was set to be a contributor to Washington's secondary in 2014. The school has just four scholarship cornerbacks and three scholarship safeties practicing this spring.
