UCLA coaches sport war paint during blowout against Arizona (PHOTO)

UCLA coach Jim Mora was really excited about Saturday's homecoming game against Arizona, especially since the Bruins were wearing navy uniforms for the first time in the modern era.

And while Mora gushed over the uniforms all week and used them for motivation, he didn't think it was enough prior to his team stepping out onto the field prior to the game. So, he asked his coaches and players to use eye black as war paint in an effort to drive up the intensity. The results were, uh, interesting.

I think we've all seen players go a little crazy with the eye black, but it's rare that a coach dons a version of the tribal ritual. But several of them did, including special teams coordinator/linebackers coach Jeff Ulbrich (top photo), who tried to overachieve with his artistry.

Unfortunately, Mora didn't participate, but you can't fault his choice of tactics. The Bruins hammered Arizona 66-10 and had 354 more yards of total offense than the Wildcats.
