Report: Nick Saban to be a part of ESPN’s BCS championship coverage

As the internet continues to have fun saying the words "Nick Saban" and "Texas" in the same sentence, Saban has agreed to do something other than be Alabama's coach this January.

Sports Illustrated's Richard Deitsch says that Saban will be included in ESPN's BCS championship coverage.

Saban was on ESPN's College Gameday on championship Saturday, his first media availability since his Crimson Tide lost to Auburn in the Iron Bowl. And while Saban's disdain for interviews and media coverage can be very transparent at times, he seemed comfortable on the set and gave thoughtful analysis.

His team's schedule will make it easy to be a part of the coverage of Florida State and Auburn. Alabama plays Jan. 2 in New Orleans and the national championship is Jan. 6. That's plenty of time for Saban to do any post-game wrapup and head out to Pasadena. And maybe tell viewers how Florida State can slow down Auburn.
