Four months after leaving Auburn, linebacker Anthony Swain reportedly has a new home.

According to the Hattiesburg American, Swain will play his final season of college football at Southern Miss. Swain graduated from Auburn, so he is eligible to play immediately as a graduate transfer.

Swain, a fifth-year senior, left the Auburn program just before spring practice began in March. He was mostly a special teams player and backup at both middle and outside linebacker during his time with the Tigers, but did start one game last season.

Overall in 2014, Swain had 18 tackles, three tackles for loss and one sack in 13 games.

The 6-foot-2, 260-pound Swain also had 26 tackles as a backup in 2013.

A native of Gadsden, Alabama, Swain was a three-star recruit in the 2011 class and chose Auburn over offers from Kentucky, Southern Miss and Tennessee.
