Ohio State WR Noah Brown suffers broken leg
Ohio State took a hit to its receiving corps on Wednesday.
Head coach Urban Meyer confirmed to the Columbus Dispatch that wide receiver Noah Brown suffered a broken leg during practice and was "taken off the field by cart and transported to the OSU Medical Center." He is expected to miss the entire season.
"Surgery soon and full recovery expected," Meyer told the Dispatch in a text message.
Brown, a 6-foot-2, 222-pound sophomore, was expected to be a big part of the Buckeyes’ high-powered offense this season.
According to several reports, media access following Wednesday evening’s practice was abruptly canceled. Before it was confirmed, Buckeyes wide receivers coach Zach Smith sent out this tweet, hinting to an injury:
This is not our plan... This is God's plan. Have to have #Faith in His plan and stay true to Him - It will all work out in the end. 🙏🏼

Fellow OSU wide receivers Corey Smith and Michael Thomas also sent out tweets in support of Brown.
Count yo blessings at all times NB I got bro 😪🙏🏾

I'm not going to give up my faith, I know the Lord has something greater for you. Just a bump in the road we have to overcome together... NB

Brown played in 11 games as a true freshman for the Buckeyes in 2014 and tallied just one catch for nine yards. In addition to the loss of Brown, Jalin Marshall, Dontre Wilson and Smith are all suspended for the season opener against Virginia Tech on Sept. 7.
