Notre Dame’s helmet decals revealed

Notre Dame will have some new helmet decals for this weekend's game against Michigan to celebrate 125 years of Notre Dame football.

A photo of the decals was sent out on Twitter by Notre Dame equipment man Ryan Grooms.

These decals are small, subtle and classy, and will go on the back of the helmet next to the American flag and NCAA sticker. They are a nice nod to an important milestone for the program. And they will likely draw less angst than the alternate jerseys the Irish will (sadly) wear against Miami on Oct. 6.

Notre Dame is also planning to take one of those cool 360-degree interactive photos during the first quarter of the game Saturday night as part of the anniversary celebration.
